Lately there is a trend of people leaving before raid end (or disconnecting), so sadly, I am forced to make a new rule.

I must say that I've been thinking of the same, and I find this a good idea.
Since some recent happenings we've been unable to continiue raids due to some people leaving for "unknown" reasons.

There's no need to come if ye dont want to, if ye have to do smth else, dont sign and we get someone else to come instead.

Well, i do happen that some people really gets a blackout or something or and earthquake :P that makes it impossible to come back to the raid ;)
And he/she does not deserve the -dkp nor the penalty of reciving zero dkp for the bosses they where there. But it is hard to check I know.
That's why I said "we'll se how it works" :D

I'm wondering, if someone gets this -dkp, will that dkp be devided amongst the rest of the raid? concidering the zero-sum system we have? Don't get me wrong, i agree to "punish" those who leave, i'm just curious how u will put this into the zero-sum system we are working with.

I am a Warlock - Your solo nature means that you're very capable of fending for yourself. It also means, however, that you have trouble finding your place in groups.

We've seen some obvious leaves in the past days, and ofc if there's good reason for why ye have to leave, its fair enough and shouldnt be awarded -dkp.

mOOwalker

Well, if its like your first 3 times you do that, of course is no penalty. But lets say you keeping lagging, dcing after a short period each raid. Then you will be awarded.

Also, the -DKP is a personal adjustment, not a group, so no, no-one will get +dkp.

so theoretically it WILL screw up the zero-sum, right?

yes. in the total image it will, but the basic system it wont. so its not like it is such a huge isue.

The system is based on that the income is the same as the outcome split onto all members. There wont be any major problems in having someone getting minus dkp and this affecting the system itself. It'll just be bad for the person who got it.
